BCAC’s first Brampton Community Ride kicked off a great cycling season in Brampton.
Gathering at Garden Square, downtown Brampton on May 15, 2016, sixteen cyclists braved cool, windy, rainy, even show showers to participate in the Cycling Advisory Committee’s first Brampton Community Ride.
Yes, that is a snow flake on the camera lens!
Kevin and Alina, two of our CAN-BIKE instructor members of BCAC, delivered a brief safety talk before the group headed out on 5km and 15km routes.
Peter relaxes and pretends we have nice weather for the first ride!
Meeting new friends and neighbours
At the Vodden P-gates on Etobicoke Creek Trail, we stop and walk under the very low bridge.
After the ride, everyone returned to Garden Square for a refreshment at Little Shop of Ice Cream, compliments of City of Brampton.
There are 9 more Brampton Community Rides this season! Check out all the others so you can come to the event closest to you. You can also select others to learn about your city. You might even be able to welcome tourists to Brampton.
