Brampton Active Transportation Advisory Committee, BikeBrampton and Different Spokes partnered to host the Diwali Glow Ride on Oct 26th. 60 folks with decorated bikes turned up for the ride and after-party.

We had parents with kids, octogenarians, new Brampton residents, Algoma students, Mississauga visitors, as well as long time regulars of Brampton Community Rides. Some of Sonia’s class for new women cyclists came, and completed their longest ride ever! We leave no one behind.

Celebrating our third annual Diwali Glow Ride, we had a cool dry evening. Our bike lights twinkled against the backdrop of late autumn maple trees at their peak of colour.

Sonia, Bidhan and their team of volunteers welcomed us back from the Diwali Glow Ride, to Different Spokes for Chai lattes, samosas and sweets.

Sonia presented awards to folks who exceled in learning new skills in bike repair, riding, and volunteering their time.

This is an amazingly diverse community that shares values beyond riding a bike.
Our thanks to City of Brampton for hosting the Community Ride registration and for hiring professional photographer, Herman Custodio.
