In this interactive two hour outdoor workshop participants will learn about proper bike fit, safety equipment, street signs, signaling, stopping and how to ride. Whether you’re just learning to ride a bike or want to sharpen your skills, Bike Basics will get you riding with more confidence. At the end of the program there will be a family friendly bike ride.
Required Equipment: Bike in good working order with a bell and an Ontario Ministry of Transportation approved bicycle helmet (such as those certified by Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Snell, ANSI, ASTM, BSI, CPSC and SAA).
This program occurs outdoors, please dress for the weather. This program may be cancelled due to the weather.
Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
