Free Brampton Community Rides are a series of casual cycling tours held from May to September. Led by citizen member volunteers of Brampton Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC), these group rides provide opportunities for residents and visitors to explore Brampton on their bicycles, followed by a free refreshment.

Brampton Active Transportation Advisory Committee is happy to announce the Calendar of Community Rides, sponsored by City of Brampton. Register for Brampton Cycling Advisory Committee’s FREE community ride, your choice of 5 km or 15 km route, depending on your comfort level. All cyclists are welcome, including Brampton residents and visitors. Ride a bike! Discover your city! You are encouraged to pre-register online and agree to terms of the liability waiver to make our start go smoothly and quickly. Riders participating in the ride do so at their own risk and are requested to agree to terms of the liability waiver before participating. Proper helmet use is strongly encouraged and is mandatory for those under 18. Parents have a duty to ensure helmet use for children under 16. Riders might be photographed for promotional purposes. We can accommodate you if you make a last-minute decision to join us

Brampton Community Rides Safety Briefing

Ride a Bike Discover your City

You are encouraged to cycle to the start, if possible. Use the event location google link to plan your route from home. Select the bike symbol to allow google to help you choose your route.

There will be a safety briefing before our ride starts. Please review ahead for important safety information. Pay attention to the ride leader, marshall and sweep.

Count on the 5km route taking 45 minutes and the 15km ride taking 1½ hours. Route lengths and times are approximate. Select the shorter route if this is your first time or you are unsure about your abilities.

No one is left behind. If you must leave the route, please notify the Ride Sweep, who tries to keep count of our riders!

City of Brampton’s complimentary refreshment is provided to registered participants at the end or mid-point of the ride (depending on ride). Volunteers will be available by request to escort participants from snack location back to meetup location, if desired.

Routes are carefully planned to showcase different features around Brampton. Pre-registered riders will be contacted via text or email with 2 hours notice, should the ride be cancelled (eg. due to thunder or lightning).

Have fun! Additional questions, contact cycling@brampton.ca
