Bike the Creek Shout-Out in ProvincialLegislature

Bike the Creek got a shout-out in Ontario provincial legislature when MPP Harinder Malhi rose to make a statement before summer break.

MPP Malhi along with over 600 residents and visitors will be riding in Bike the Creek this Saturday. She will be one of the dignitaries speaking at the official opening of the event at 8:30am, Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre, 292 Conestoga Drive, Brampton.

Dr. Eileen de Villa, Chief Medical Officer of Health will be bringing greetings from Region of Peel Public Health on the importance of cycling and healthy active living.

Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry Kathryn McGarry will bring greetings on behalf of the Province of Ontario. We welcome Minister McGarry who has been recently promoted to cabinet, yet kept her commitment to attend Bike the Creek. She was previously the Parliamentary Assistant to Minister of Transportation, in charge of #CycleON 2.0 Strategy.
