BikeBrampton engaged students with a MTO Road Safety Challenge interactive game at the PEYA Amazing Green Race on May 23, 2015.

The Amazing Green Race provided students in the Peel Region ( Peel Environmental Youth Alliance) with various resources and strategies to support the environment, sustainable commuting and healthy living. Students participated in fun and engaging activities that will help them recognize the benefits of using various modes of sustainable transportation available to them.

PEYA 2015 2

Student teams will race from checkpoint to checkpoint and learn about waste reduction, sustainable and active transportation, ecology and stewardship. After the race is completed, everyone will meet at the finish line for an environmental celebration! Here teams will be provided with delicious food and will have the opportunity to meet with peers from other schools, network with professionals from the environmental industry, and win great prizes for their team!

PEYA 2015 3

Each team raced against the clock to complete each activity in full before moving on to another checkpoint of their choice. The team to complete the most amount of activities in the shortest time was the winner. At times, BikeBrampton members had 2 game boards going simultaneously with 2 different racing teams.
